This application allows a user to manage the PDF's store on his computer. The application is create by the Ironic Software.
- File system - the application reveals the details on the actual location of an Item in the file system. There are some functions related to this;
- List modes - it is possible to set the List-pane into three modes: collections, file system and tags. Collections are the classic MicroContent client way of looking at things. File system shows the actual storage location of a file. And tags show a tag cloud for a collection. By clicking on a tag one can zoom in and it functions thus as an automatic smart list;
- Combining - by drag&dropping a PDF on top of another one, the two PDF's can be combined;
- Loupe - a loupe allows the user to zoom in on a PDF. This loupe is a moving 'window', which one can move over the PDF;

Phanfare photo allows users to mashup images into photo albums and upload them to the corresponding web service. Probably one should not call this a MicroContent Client proper, but I had a look anyway. What makes it interesting is the integration with the service that allows to publish the images.
- MicroContent? - this application makes it hard to assess what the MicroContent type that is managed. Surely the images are MicroContent. It has various functions to edit images. This makes one of the MicroContent types that are managed. One should see the Albums as MicroContent. An Album goes much further than a simple list, as it has metadata;
- Service Integration - this client has several functions related to the integration with the service, such as login/logout, account information, buy (subscribe)
- Mashing support - The primary MicroContent Type supported is the album. One can add images and audio as components to this album: the mashing. The application has several functions available to support this. I think I should add mashing support as an entry on the checklist;
- Website - the application also offers various settings for the website. This makes the application more than just a MicroContent Client;

The application allows the user to search the web for cover images and associate an image with an album or track in iTunes. The application starts a search on Google for instance, showing a web interface. Once an image is found by browsing, it can be dragged onto the clip board or on the album itself. Searches can be saved, so that one can refind an even more better image in the future. It is easy to see which albums do not have a cover yet. The application is easier to use than iTunes for adding cover images and thanks to Google it finds more.
I am not sure whether I should call this a MicroContent Client. It is more a MicroWeb weaving Client. It helps the user to set the relation between two MicroContent Items. However once that has been done the application is of no use anymore.

The basic functionality of this client is to upload images to Flickr. The user can add images to the application through either drag&drop or an input menu. Each image can be annotated with a title, description, tags and location.
It is a single functionality client: it is only for uploading images. There is no memory between application launches.

This application allows the user to bookmark videoclips. The application has a primary view-pane that also functions as a browser. In this pane the user can browse videoclip websites, such as YouTube or Google Video. Once an user has found something bookmarkable, he copy&pase the title, a description, a thumbnail and the embed-code into the Item in the Items-pane. This will effectively create a new videoclip, which the user can view in the future. The user then only has to select the videoclip item and click on play. The video will then be shown in the View-pane.
The application is still a bit rough: many Item organising features are missing, the copy&paste is silly. I will not yet put this application against my checklist. But it has surely potential with the advancement of videoclips.

This application by
David Campbell allows the user to manage a DVD collection. The user can populate the DVD records through various DVD-databases.
- The ability to populate an Item from multiple sources is interesting. I do not whether a source gets a preference;
- The application supports barcode scanners;
- The application implements a Wishlist. This list toggles with the standard library. An Item is in one or the other;

iFreete is an application that allows the user to see the freeware applications available for MacOSX. iFreete also checks the free applications that the user has installed and shows which ones need to be updated. I think this is quite cute and could have potential, once it is expanded to include any application.
- Skins - the application supports Skins for the toolbar. I assume that these are just a set of other icons;

I had a quick look at iAmazon. This application allows user to search and browse through any of the Amazon sites (what is wrong with France?). It looks promising, but needs more work before it is nice to use. I especially do not like the interface. It should be much more like iTunes. Everything on the interface is now huge.
And I miss a lot of MicroContent Client options.
I guess we will see this functionality in DeliciousLibrary. Is very much like the iTunes MusicStore.

The checklist does not really show the value of this application. It is more than a MicroContent Manager.
I noted the following thing:
- Sessions - the basic Item is the session, which is determined by a start time on a date;
- Content - the content of an Item can also contain tables, lists, checkboxes;
- Drop-box - one can add files to a drop-box for easy reference;
- Gallery - there is a gallery for keeping images;
- Notes - a separate notepad allows to keep scribbles;
