DVD Database X

For my research on MicroContent clients I had a look at DVD Database X by Valencio. The application has a simple interface: a single window with an Items-pane. The Items-pane shows the DVD’s in tabular format. The use can select which information he sees in the Items-pane. Cover and plot of a selected DVD are presented in a Drawer. The user can use IMDB and Amazon to populate fields of an Item. If a user has a DVD or trailer available on his harddisk he can define the links and start watching from the application.

I find this application to basic. It does not have many of the standard functions one sees in a MacOSX application. And also many features one sees in a MicroContent client are missing.
