Computer Attention Client

I am playing with a new Client that I recently found. It is Onlife created by Edison Thomaz. The Client registers what the user is doing with his computer. Thus when he is looking at a webpage, the title, url, body and date of the web-page is registered. If he is listening to an iTunes song, it gets registered as well. Currently the application can follow some 20 applications. And it is easy to add new applications by creating Applescripts.

Each registration turns into a MicroContent Item: an event. And this event contains fields such as Title, Description, Date, Link, etc. Depending on the application that creates the event, the information is mapped to the different fields. The user can see the events either on a timeline, as thumbnails of the windows or as a table.

This application is really the way to record your attention. Anything you do can be searched, categorised and tags. I still have to decide whether it is useful for me. But I will try it for a while.
