Just a pointer to this blog-entry on DataLibre.
I agree almost. I do not agree that the future is here today, but it is very close. What we still need are Microcontent standards and support for it in blog-services. With Microcontent-standards I mean a formatted RDF/XML with well defined fields. Next step is to publish this Microcontent. The idea for weblogs is very good for this, but most weblogs support only a few fields as input. And then these fields have hardly a meaning. And then publish it on your webpage, RSS-feed or whatever. And let the world (Amazon, any bookshop) subscribe to your review-feed, bookmark-feed, whatever.
