And the P-word comes back.

Information overload is still with us. It was there with sites, it is here with feeds an it will stay here with MicroContent. There is just to much interesting information around. And the dreaded P-word pops up: personalisation. It is promised for ages and I do not have a feeling we are getting any closer (although Pandora?).

And it is all down to the personalisation algorithms. Nor my attention nor my posts on my sites are used by anyone to offer me something interesting. Such a waste. Well I hope now that I can subscribe to area's (branches?) of a tag-cloud and that connected to recency.

However I do not have the feeling that I miss something now, so why ask for something else? Although I might limit my attention to the same circles. But those circles keep me already busy enough. So do we really need personalisation?
