The man with two heads

by Craig Hamilton

Hamilton interviews Sheikh Ragip / Robert Frager. Frager is a follower of Sufism and a psychologist. The question is how he can combine this two views. One of the answers is that the world is much larger than the one covered by western science. This does however not mean that western science is not useful. One of the big ideas of Sufism is defeat of ego, or better to gain control of your ego on all levels as a path to enlightenment. And psychology can help here as it explains how your lesser ego works. Note however that an education is science might stand in the way. Great spiritual leaders work on a different, more feeling, level and there scientific theory could be a hindrance.
