Remollon
This is a fairly modern sundial dating from 1978. It can be found in Remollon on the road to Espinasses, just before the exit of the village.
The sundial shows the hourlines from 6 am to 6 pm.
The motto of the dial is “autour le monde”, i.e. “around the world”
The dial shows an image of a sailing boat on the map of the earth. On the edge of the circle one can read la terre, l’air, le vent and two other things.

Number 16, Main Street, Sainte Blaise
This dial is not in a very good shape. In the upper left corner I can discern an 18?1.
One can see hour and halfhour lines starting at 5 am to probably 2 pm. One can only discern the 5.
The seems to have been a motto at the bottom, but it is now unreadable.
The dial reminds of the designs of Zarbula: trompe l’oeil setting, gnomon in a sun and below it a moon. Also the colouring seems to remind of him.

Main street, Chamandrin
This dial is on the main street of Chamandrin. The date on the dial shows 1899. The dial allegedly was created in 1761 and first restaured in 1885.
The dial shows hourlines from 4 am to 12 am.
It is a sundial in baroque style and not in very good shape.

Destroyed Chamandrin
Of this dial not much is left. One sees some hourlines and the gnomon is still there. But the people in the house put a window straight through the sundial. The end the the hourlines are fitted in a round circle, suggesting that the dial was fairly modern.

Eglise, Villard St. Pancrace
This dial is on the main church in Villard St. Pancrace. On the dial one can see the date MVIIICXXI, 1821, which is a very strange way to write roman dates.
The dial shows hourlines and half hour lines (as arrows) from 8 am to 6 pm.
The dial has multiple motto’s. At the top it says in latin “vulnerant omnes, ultima necat morte tua”, “bless all, the last one kills you”. In the dial face one can see another motto, but it is fragmented to “hic umbra ....”
The dial is in Louis XV style. The stylus is set in a classic sun and moon.
It has been restored in 1984 by le Club du Vieux Manoir, but seems to be deteriorating since.

Impasse Villard St. Pancrace
This dial can be found in the village of Villard St. Pancrace close to Briançon. It is in a small street off main street near house number 18.
The dial shows hourlines and halfhour lines from 12 am to 6 pm.
The dial dates from 1773 and has first been restored in 1905 by ZZ. And in 1997 by Evelyne and Norbert Peyrot (link).
The motto is “vous qui passe souuvene vous an que tout passe comme je passe”, which translates to “you who comes by, remember everyting that happens when I pass”. Note that the “u"s are spelled as “v"s. And there are some typo’s.
The dial is a a baroque style.

No 25, Cervieres
This dial is on house number 25 in the street facing the river in Cervières. The dial dates from 1839 and is signed by Zarbula.
The dial shows hour and halfhour lines from 7 am to 5 pm. In red the line of teh equinoxes is shown with the sign of the balances.
The motto of the dial is “sans le soleil je ne suis rien et toi sans dieu ne peut rien”, which translates to “without sun I am nothing and you can do anything without god”. At the bottom there is a second motto: Forte Tue, may the Force be with you.
The dial shows a trompe l’oeil distinctive for Zarbula. He has signed the dial with his initials GZF in the bottom right corner. In the bottom left corner one can see the initials WEFG, but I do not know what they mean.

Mairie Cervieres
A classic design created by Zarbula. It looks like an early work of Zarbula. The house is from 1747.
The hour- and halfhourlines can just be seen from 7 am to 3 pm.
The dial has some classic marks of Zarbula: a curtain on 3 points (later 4), the flower pots and a trompe l’oeil design. The flower post are interesting as they show faces, which is called “ghybizzi”. Note at the top the “rose the sable” with 8 branches.
The sundial has been restored by François Gavoty in 1983.

Barret sur Meouge
This is a modern sundial from 2001. It can be found on the primary school of Barret sur Méouge.
The sundial shows hour points from 5 am to 4:30 pm.
The motto of the dial is “Certains resterons, d’autres choisiront l’illusoire chemin de partir”. This translates to “some shall stay, other will chose the imaginary road of parting”.
Next to the dial face proper one sees to children on the back looking out to the local mountains.

Antonaves
This modern dial is situated on the church of Antonaves. You have to walk around the church in order to find it. The dial dates from 2001.
The dial has hour and half-hour points from 5 am to 4 pm.
The motto of the dial reads “Le temps enchaine, la lumiere guide”. This can be translated to “time follows, light is the guide”.
The stylus is set in a nice drawing of a labyrinth. Above the dial one can see a figure for light and below for time (with the hourglass).
