Simple CSS

I am looking for an application that can support my web-development work. This application promices to easily edit my CSS-files. It turns out to be a not very OS-X conformant app. So I have rejected it right away. I do not want to use such applications.

Essential software to view audio, video and images. I do not need the app very often.

RCDefaultApp

The security vulnerability not only effects the help: protocol, but also the disk: disks: and telnet: protocol. However in the other PreferencePane program (More Internet), I did not see the disk: and disks: protocols, so I needed something else. This one does the trick. I as able to disable all relevant protocols.

More Internet…

With this application you can install an extra Preference Pane. This pane allows you to set the applications, which are launched for certain protocols.

I installed to prevent the MacOS-X vulnerability in the Help application which is launched in response to the help: protocol.

Unfortunately this app did not help with the disk: or disks: protocols. So I was forced to find another app: RCDefault. I will throw this one away.

NetNewsWire

This is an aggregator client to view RSS-feeds. An extremely useful piece of software. It is my favorite software to digest all the news in the world. It is an essential application for me, which I really use each days to read all my RSS-feeds.

iTunes

I use this application everyday when I am listening to the music on my iPod. I think it is great.

Nice to see that this version has a party shuffle, which allows you to mix all songs.

Android

Nice retro game. I remember playng a similar game around 1985 on a Kaypro. Goal of the game is to advance through various levels. Each level consists of a screen with ladders. Find all gems and advance to the exit, while evading the other guys.

Envision

This application allows you to browse the images on a website. You van view the images as thumbnails or full screen.

I am not sure whether this application is useful. It might be as a screensaver or desktop interface. I am not sure when you want to view the images only. The Astronomy Picture of the day is nice.

EasyCrop

On my website I have two images in the logobar. These images are cutouts from large images. I used to do this cutting with Fireworks under OS9. It would be nice if I could do this easier. This app might help.

It is a nice app. However the cropping facilities of iPhoto are good enough for me.

Now that I started to publish photo albums on my website, I needed something that I can fiddle. I want to have things pblished with my template. I hope this application can do that.

I still did not try the application after 7 months. Thus my needs are to limited to purchase this app.

Notetaker

This application can be used to maintain and organize your thoughts and research. I use it a lot for my work on Blue Morpho. I find the program a bit slow, but then my files are getting very large.

Regulary I receive new updates for this program and I update today.

MisFox

An application which helps you to view and change which application opens what. This is similar to the Internet Config program which we lost with X.3.3. I wonder how often I would need this? I’ll keep it stashed on my Mac for a while.

A Cook’s Books

I have been looking for a program to keep recipes. For a long time. A long time ago I bought a program called (don’t remember). I thought I would use it, but I did not like the (Framemaker) interface. It was to different.

So I downloaded this program. I like the 4-pane interface. The program is however not (yet?) smooth enough. So I will wait a while and see how it grows.
