Great book about a journalist that loses one of his hands. He will receive a new hand in one of the first hand transplants. However the former wife of the hand asks visiting right. And from that idea develops an interesting story.(7)

Yet another gruesome crime, which Banks unravels slowly. It was again a captivating story, which hooks into the past in order to explain the present. And again his personal live intervenes from time to time. Also someone from the public disturbs his work a bit.(7)

Fantasy by Asmodée is a simple card based game. Each card represents a race (elf, dwarf, etc). The goal is to obtain the most cards. This can be done by the powers printed on each card, which allows a user to steal cards from opponents, switch decks with opponents, etc. This makes it a very difficult games, as things can change quickly in the end.(6)

The story is rather gruesome, but it onfolds great. Revenge at last. It is not a Banks story by the way. I liked reading it.(7)

The fourth sequel. This one was a bit less than the other three. It was more an intermediate part of the whole story. It was enjoyable nevertheless.(8)

The third sequel of the Wheel of Time. In this book our hero proclaims himself to be the dragon reborn. So now the world knows who he is. It seems that all the players have proclaimed themselves and we'll see what happens next.(8)
Anyway I like the series a lot and am curious to start in the next book.

The second book in The Wheel of Times. I enjoyed this book a lot. What can I say about the book without revealing to much? The hero of the series slowly grows into his role and can again save the world a little bit. But he is not ready yet and so I decided to buy the next two sequels as well.(8)

And again I read a book in French. This was an interesting book although it was pretty rough. It is an adventure of Seth Colton where he takes on the world of grain, CIA, KGB, etc.(6)

I like this book of the author of Da Vinci Code a lot. I found it better than that book, although there are some too improbable parts in it. The book is about an invention created at Cern, which is used to threaten the world and topple the catholic church.(7)

A pretty good police story. The nice things about these stories is that you also follow the criminal. And always you wonder how the investigator will find the criminal. This story uses a well worked out scheme of finding the criminal. Wallander finds cruely killed men and has to find out who it did.(6)

A great fantasy novel in the style of Tolkien. The dark forces are growing and some farmers have a role to play in saving the world. The make a long quest before thay know what they must do in the first place. There is the great chase, where they have to flee all the time. Now to the next book.(-)

Another police detective that I read. Alan Banks is confronted with two fires that killes some. Reason is unclear, but he finds out. I quite like it although it was a bit gory. The end was interesting.(7)

This ia already a pretty old Science Fiction Book. I think I read it already some 30 years ago. It was again a pleasant read, even in French. It is about a world just discovered. An anthropologist goes on a mission to explore, is hampered by The Enemy. And then he tries to overcome this enemy. Whilst doing this he discovers new parts of the planet and it's inhabitants.(-)

This is a classic D&D story: saving the world, a quest, a wizard, trolls, fights, elves, etc. One time I played D&D and while reading the book I remembered the dungeon master who rolled the dice in order to determine a happening of an encounter. In all a pleasant book, although sometimes the descriptions are a bit too heavy. Those are pages that I skip quickly. But it is the first of a sequel and it only gets better.(8)

I read this one first some 20 years ago. I still liked it. It is a classic D&D novel with wizards, elves, trolls and dwarfs. The story is about saving the world from the demons. The elves had captured these demons through a magic tree some millenia ago. Now the tree is dying and the demons come back. The tree has to be created again and in the mean time the demons must be fought. The book takes you along on this quest.(8)
